How to Rotate Pages in a PDF
Sideways or upside-down pages are one of the most common tiny annoyances in PDFs, usually caused by a scanner that fed a sheet in wrong.
The whole document at once
If every page came out rotated the same way — common with scanned batches — use a 'rotate all pages' option and fix the whole file in one step instead of page by page.
Individual pages only
Mixed orientation shows up a lot in scans that combine portrait pages with landscape tables or charts. Most tools let you pick specific pages and rotate just those.
90, 180, or 270
Sideways needs a 90° turn one way or the other. Upside-down needs a full 180°. Not sure which direction? Rotate 90° and check the preview before saving — guess wrong and it's just sideways the other way.
Making it stick
Some viewers rotate a page for display only, and it resets the next time the file opens rather than actually saving into the file. Make sure your tool permanently applies the rotation if you're sharing it with anyone else.
